From 23rd to 29th June The hopes of the world is taking part in Grand Hotel Varna. This year we have over 90 chess talents from several countries, divided into 4 groups: Under 8, 10, 12 and 14 + 16. Here's quick report from all categories after 3rd round:

Under 8 only two players remain 100%-record. They (Andrey Shuvalov and Alla Kozenets) will meet each other in round 4. Artem Kushnerev, Nikolay Ivanov and Georgi Chinchenko are only half point behind, keeping good positions to attack the title.

Under 10 - again two with 3/3 Yauheni Vaitsiakhouski and Daniil Tonkoshkur. On board 2 will see the game between Igor Anikin and Fedor Polyakov, both have 2.5 points.

Under 12 Valeriy Shoshin is lone leader (3 pts), followed by Yauheni Mukavozchyk (2.5), who will be his next opponent.

Under 14 + 16, the most compact group, WFM Anna Styazhkina (Girls World Champion) is leading and will face top rated Vitaly Terentyev. Mikhail Subbotsky, who played very well in Open "Varna", is also in the battle for the gold medal.
